Objective

To learn:

  • the procedures for precautionary landings at an aerodrome or area in which the pilot is unfamiliar. 

Motivation

As a pilot, you will undoubtedly have to land at unfamiliar aerodromes from time to time. It is also possible these aerodromes have no advisory service or published information. Learning the correct procedures will give you more confidence in these situations. You will also be required to perform the precautionary procedures on your flight tests.
